Primer and Advanced

TEACH & LEARN

together.

Standard courses

Primer and Advanced.

All-round CL.

The Primer and Advanced courses offer a scalable introduction to Cooperative Learning as a full-spectrum approach and introduces some of the theory and pedagogical principles behind CLIPs. Teachers learn how to use CLIPs to drive specific learning and integrate team and class building, perform assessment and real-time monitoring, and investigate rationales for setting up teams to leverage lower and higher ability pupils.

The Primer presents four simple and versatile Cooperative Learning Interaction Patterns (CLIPs) and gives practical demonstrations on how these may facilitate lesson objectives and social skills development across the curriculum. The CLIPs presented cover a wide variety of learning situations, including knowledge sharing and presentation, enquiry, rote learning, problem solving, thinking and communication.

The Advanced course is a standalone follow-up to the Primer and Skills & Mastery courses and expounds on the necessary principles for maximising effectiveness of previous CPD. It adresses SEN-issues, building team, class, and school ethos, promoting behaviors for learning, aligning CLIPs to lesson aims, and more.
